The Scandalous Sisters' Castle Tour

Many of the castles in The Scandalous Sisters series are real, and although my characters are fictional, they came to life for me while driving through Scotland on my very own castle tour with my bestie, Jerrie Alexander. I should also warn you I took many liberties with the renovations of these castles. Caerlaverock (Dumfries, Scotland) was our first castle, I'd say it was our maiden voyage, but we were the old battle axes on Caerlaverock's dance floor:) Pics 1-2 moving left to right. Pics 3-4 are of Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness. Pics 5-6 are of two of the castles we've stayed in during trips to Scotland. 5-Dalhousie Castle in Bonnyrigg, right outside Edinburgh and 6-Langley Castle in the village of Langley in Northumberland, England.

I must warn you, It can be a challenge for a Yank to drive on the wrong side of the road;) I  was constantly saying, "Left. Left. Left." In my head, of course. And I should  apologize to, and thank the man on day one who gave me the what for instead of killing me for driving on the wrong side of the road in the middle of nowhere. (Although to be completely honest the road was barely wider than a 1/2 of a lane, I'm not sure how he could tell, but I was a bit dizzy at the time from going around my millionth traffic circle in the wrong direction after a five day flight from Dallas to Scotland! I'm being a bit dramatic, but I'm an author--we exaggerate on the best of days.) So thank you, sir for your kindness and the universal gesture of goodwill. I deserved every bit of it--Cheers!
